Running B&B do not make money, but make alot of friends. Many people love to come to my place as I offer a typical country living. They can go to my farm to grow vegetables or choose whatever veggie is available. Just follow the hiking trail to enjoy the nature breeze. Some just like to join me in the morning to do the baking. 10 o'clock coffee and 3pm tea time are still my traditional english style of living. My mother in law will nag at me if I told her my lunch is salad or sandwich.
Many people once enter my home will be amazed with the internal layout and beautiful furniture. It is rare to visit a country lodge with victorian setting. Many still bearing the thought of chinese way ,asking a room with many occupants. I always advise them to adapt my western living, parents must sleep separately with kids. Usually they are pleased with my suggestion. I only have 4 rooms, many complaint I should offer more rooms. If business is booming, then I will build another lodge. So far I can manage on my own, 4 rooms are just enough!
Many came with the attraction of my malaysian dishes. My beef rendang is turning into a hit! Meal can be offered on one condition i.e must order one day beforehand. Alot of people do not understand why , I have to explain as malaysian dishes need a lot of spices that need times to prepare. At one house three looks, just bear with me with the simple life, everything is done mostly by me matching the trend of slow life.
